| The
village of San Antonio Copalar is located 20 km to the south of the
city of Comitán. Its climate is cold and |
| the
majority of its houses are constructed of wood with roofs of zinc
sheet metal. Water is brought to each |
| residence
every third day for storage and use. Any type of truck can reach the
village, which is accessed by an |
| unpaved
road in good condition. |
|
Following
the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose care for people extended
even to |
|
their
nutritional needs, our principal goal is to assist families with
gaining household income |
|
Goals: |
and to
help them achieve better nourishment in order to combat malnutrition
which is |
|
currently
prevalent in the majority of the infant population. Furthermore, we
hope that this |
|
project
will help fathers avoid the necessity of emigrating from their homes
and places of |
|
origin in
search of economic alternatives. |
