J. Mújica is located some 150 km to the south of the city of Tuxtla
Gutiérrez. The climate is warm |
| and houses
are constructed of a variety of materials, such as brick, wood, and
reed. Roofs are constructed of |
| zinc sheet
metal and palm. The community’s water is supplied from elsewhere every
three days for storage. |
| There is
single phase electric lighting and of the 150 km to Tuxtla, 20 are
unpaved road in good condition. |
| Trucks up
to 10 tons in weight can enter the community. |
|
Following
the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose care for people extended
even to |
|
their
nutritional needs, our principal goal is to assist families with
gaining household income |
|
Goals: |
and to
help them achieve better nourishment in order to combat malnutrition
which is |
|
currently
prevalent in the majority of the infant population. Furthermore, we
hope that this |
|
project
will help fathers avoid the necessity of emigrating from their homes
and places of |
|
origin in
search of economic alternatives. |
