| The
village of Yocnajab el Rosario is located 15 km from the city of
Comitán, of which 1o km are unpaved |
| road. Its
residents are agriculturalists and the town has electricity and
potable water sources. The |
|
community’s approximate altitude is 1300 meters and the climate is
cold. Dwellings are constructed of block |
| and
concrete, as well as some of lumber with sheet metal roofing. Any type
of truck can enter the village and |
| the roads
are in good conditions. |

Following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose care for people
extended even to |
|
their
nutritional needs, our principal goal is to assist families with
gaining household income |
|
Goals: |
and to
help them achieve better nourishment in order to combat malnutrition
which is |
|
currently
prevalent in the majority of the infant population. Furthermore, we
hope that this |
|
project will help fathers
avoid the necessity of emigrating from their homes and places of
|
|
origin in
search of economic alternatives. |
